I Took a Day!!!

I took a day to myself...yes I did...the boys were either watching a movie or playing some kind of X-Box war game shooting aliens or something...Manly man had to work...poor guy. I decided to sit down in front of the fire, with my hair all un-brushed, still in my pj's and fluffy socks and read...ALL DAY LONG!!! I read this....

I had read about 10 pages before the holidays were in full swing and I picked it back up yesterday. It took a while to get used the the way it was written. I had to keep flipping back a few pages to see what year it was and how old the characters were. I LIKED the book...I am planning on renting the movie and watching it...maybe next weekend...my last little relaxing moment until the new year starts rumbling, screeching its tires and taking off. Nothing like a great book of undying romantic love to just make you go aaahhhh....

The New Santa

When our boys found out about...well, you know...Santa....I thought...oh no, what fun is that!!! My sister told me what she did one year and I tried it and it is our new tradition. They scavenger hunt for one of their gifts. Yes, it takes a little prep time but it is so much fun for them. Manly Man and I run around with the video camera as if we are in the "Blair Witch Project". The boys love it and of course it puts a smile on our faces. Here they are reading one of their clues and trying to figure out where the next clue is hidden. My time and stress level determines how many clues they have to figure out before they find their gift. This year they had 3 clues, which is about 2 less then normal but they enjoyed it anyway.

My boys...they are getting sooo big... :-(
